Cursor Studio – Custom Cursors (Chrome extension) · Last updated: September 26, 2026

In short: Cursor Studio doesn’t collect, read or sell your browsing data. Your settings and uploaded images stay in your browser. If you buy the optional Premium upgrade, the payment is handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe.

What the extension stores

Cursor Studio saves the following only on your device, using Chrome’s local extension storage:

• the cursor you picked, its size, and your trail and click-effect settings;
• images you upload to use as cursors;
• whether Premium is unlocked, if you bought it.

This data is not sent to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the extension deletes it.

Web pages you visit

To change your cursor on websites, the extension runs a small script on the pages you open. That script only adds cursor styling and, if you turned effects on, an invisible animation layer. It checks which cursor a page element would normally show (so links keep a hand cursor), but this happens entirely inside your browser. It does not read, record or transmit page content, form data, your browsing history, or anything you type.

Optional Premium purchases

Premium is sold through ExtensionPay, with payments processed by Stripe. When you buy or restore Premium:

• you enter your email and payment details on ExtensionPay/Stripe pages, not inside the extension;
• the extension keeps an anonymous ExtensionPay key in Chrome storage and asks ExtensionPay whether that key has paid;
• ExtensionPay may share your email address with us so we can help with purchase questions and refunds.

We never see or store your card details. See ExtensionPay’s and Stripe’s privacy policies for how they handle payment data. If you never buy Premium, the extension makes no network requests for payments.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell or transfer user data to third parties.
• We don’t use data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness or lending.
• We don’t use analytics or tracking in the extension.

Children

Cursor Studio is a fun tool suitable for all ages and doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from children. Purchases require an adult’s payment method.
